    Product Review
"If you're a fan of the popular TV show Lost, you can't be without this unofficial guide."  —California Bookwatch, on Finding Lost

    Book Description
Lost, the Golden Globe and Emmy Award–winning hit television show, has become renowned for its complexity week after week, sending both cult and mainstream fans to the Internet, encyclopedias, or religious texts as they try to figure out the keys to some of the mysteries.

If you’re feeling as lost as the survivors, then Finding Lost — Season Three: The Unofficial Guide will help to put the pieces of the puzzle in place. When author Nikki Stafford released her first volume on this series, covering seasons one and two, the book was an immediate success, and fans everywhere were touting it as the best of the Lost books on the market. Stafford’s was the only book to cover each episode in–depth, as well as provide chapters on books referenced on the show, historical figures, religious iconography, and other background materials that put her readers far ahead of other viewers who weren’t catching all of the clues.

Now, in Finding Lost — Season Three: The Unofficial Guide, Stafford continues to delve into the mysteries of this show to help her readers piece together the puzzle. With bios of the new actors, analyses of the two worlds that have collided between the Losties and The Others, and examinations of books such as A Tale of Two Cities and Of Mice and Men, this book is sure to be as well read as her first one. Similarly, she will include photos and addresses of the show’s filming locations in Hawaii, as well as dozens of exclusive photos taken on the set.

Both casual and diehard fans will come away from this book feeling more informed about the characters, their backgrounds, and the island. Armed with these clues, this book aims to finally help viewers “find” Lost.

Owner Reviews, Ratings, Comments and Criticism
About two years ago, I picked up "Finding Lost" by Nikki Stafford. I expected it to be a simple episode guide to the first two season of Lost, and wanted to refresh my memory before the third season started. Boy, was I wrong. Not only was the book a guide, but it also was an insightful look into what everything meant and offered many interpretations about the show. And I loved every page of it. Now, here I am again, holding Season Three's book in my hands. I am happy to say that Nikki Stafford has done it again. Her views and insights on each episode paint a clearer picture of what the characters, writers, and producers may have been thinking. Each section is not a 'recap,' because like the book says, nothing would ever be able to substitute for the show. However, it does provide a background and overall review of the episode, and offers the reader many different opinions about what actually happened. Following each section are several informative sub-sections. Each one explores other areas of the episode, such as where the mysterious 'numbers' occur, interesting facts, blink-and-you-miss moments, foreign language translations, production mistakes, and much, much more. All in all, Nikki Stafford knows her stuff. Not only that, but she knows how to write, too. A most excellent read for ANY Lost fan, from the most hardcore to the casual viewer. I highly recommend this book. Comments (2) | Permalink | (Report this)
